This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it simple because Tradeskill is a free learning tool, and we don't sell your data.

1. What we collect

Account info you give us: your name and email (and your basic Google profile if you sign in with Google). Content you create : your simulated trades and journal entries, including any notes or images you upload. Basic usage data needed to run and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

To provide the Service, sign you in, send verification/login (OTP) and account emails, keep the platform secure, show ads that help keep Tradeskill free, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of essential, HttpOnly cookies to keep you signed in. We also use advertising cookies as described below.

4. Advertising

Tradeskill is free to use, and we cover part of our costs by showing ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to Tradeskill and other sites on the internet. No payment, trading, or journal data is ever shared with advertisers — only the standard advertising identifiers Google collects itself.

5. Service providers

We share the minimum data needed with trusted providers that help us operate: hosting, our database, our email-sending provider (for OTP/login emails), Google (for sign-in, if you choose it, and for advertising as described above), and market-data/AI providers that power features. Providers other than our advertising partners process data on our behalf, not for their own purposes.

6. Data retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us at [email protected].

7. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and sessions use HttpOnly cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Children

Tradeskill is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
